The IceCats became a contender out west as quickly as they arrived in the FCS. Owner Chris Webb, taking over a struggling Oklahoma Tribe franchise after the 2017 season, wasted no time establishing Colorado as a constant threat to win the west year in and year out. Over the last few seasons, however, The Cats have consistently found themselves scraping the bottom of the barrel. Are they simply in an elongated rebuild in Colorado Springs, or were those first few years deceptive? Webb will look to prove the prior true in 2023 as the IceCats look to get back on track.
