formerly the bronx dominion
bolter [noun]
Runner, sprinter. A horse given to run.
Welcome to Louisville. Known for their claim as the inventor of the cheeseburger, the disco ball capital of the world, and, of course, home of the Kentucky Derby. The Run for the Roses is a 150 year tradition stamped into the history books of sporting americana. Our new eastern franchise will call the soft, saturated racing dirt of Churchill Downs home as they pay homage to one of the best ever to race with their new primary logo, Secretariat. The bold, red color palette will ensure Secretariat's calling card of "Big Red" will always be at the foreground of their brand. Whether they finish strong or die trying, there will never be a doubt that the Bolters will get out of the gate fast.

Wordmark

Our uniforms are a love letter to Secretariat, the triple crown winner who holds the historic record for largest margin of victory in horse racing, 31 strides. That record is embossed on the top stripe of the every pair of pants worn by the Bolters. The soft checkerboard on each jersey ties back to the jockey uniform worn by Secretariat's Ron Turcotte, as well as the single stripe on the helmet, jersey shoulder and pant. The opposing fonts chosen work to honor both the tradition of the event in the serif wordmark and the unassuming boldness of the numericals to match the marker on the saddle towels for each horse.
