Until their magical run in 2020, Caden Hendricks and the Rippers embodied mediocrity. Portland has bounced around .500 for years, toying with success only to fall back to earth. Rip City's tragic past was shattered in the 5th season of the FCS as they climbed the mountain out west and came within a single player's performance of taking home the coveted Victor Bowl. With two omre Western Conference titles in '21 and '22, the PNW is now cemented as an FCS powerhouse and the big brother out West.
